Just in time for the end of 2012

It’s now become obvious that when we were younger and told that times were going to get tougher it wasn’t a bluff. We are now experiencing extreme weather changes, blackouts, gas issues, wars, oil spills, financial catastrophes all over the world. In our own backyard we have sexual assaults happening randomly and by serial predators. What’s someone to do. The solution is to combine this fitness craze with self-defence and learn techniques that can strengthen you physically and mentally.

Who is on your team? You have a doctor, lawyer, accountant, You need also need a personal trainer/lifestyle coach. You need somebody like me who can help you achieve your fitness goals while allowing you to apply them in a way you can then use to defend yourself. A major part of my job is to make sure you stick to your goals. An example is boxing. It is a known fact that it will improve your upper body strength and tone. Your shoulders, triceps, chest, core all get worked out and help you punch much stronger if you know how. That is only an example. We do that and a whole lot more by incorporating all the muscles of the body in our training routines not just the ones used for boxing. In my industry of self-defence I’m noticing a lot more women finally get it! They know what’s going on and are on a path of self-improvement. These enlightened women are coming in for this type of training to be proactive, but what about the people who never heard of this or thought of training for self-defence. The best way to experience a workout this organic is to come in, try it and see what it’s all about! and yes you can bring a friend!

Eve Torres breaks it down! She’s training in a self-defence style called Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. There are many different types of self-defence programs out there. You will not like them all. Make sure you find one you like. My self-defence program is called C.A.T Counter Assault Training. I am located in downtown Toronto at Yonge and Bloor. Call me to try it out or for guidance on where to train. Lee 647.281.5772
